Ato Family is a photographic exploration of Rinchen Ato’s heritage. With no remaining images of her Grandparents or of the eight Uncles and Aunts who died during the difficult times in Kham, Ato looks for them and a deeper sense of her own identity in found photographs and the faces of the family who survived.
